Craig Venter’s Photo
I’m just reading Craig Venter’s autobiography, and I kept on wondering why the cover looked so familiar to me.
Well, duh - it should.
The cover portrait is by photographer Ian White, from a photo shoot commissioned by Wired for a cover story a few years back (April 2004 exactly). Here are the images:
Nothing unkosher about this: Wired commissions the photo, but after three months our exclusivity ends; it’s totally fine for Venter to buy his photo from White. Glad he liked it.
